My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The official website for the anime featuring girls in a band, 'Girls Band Cry', has announced a new trailer. The anime will premiere on April 5th in Japan.

Kazuo Sakai (Long Live Love! Sunshine!!, Mushi-Uta) is directing the anime at Toei Animation (One Piece). Nari Teshima is designing the characters. Mari Kondō and Jae Hoon Jung are the CGI directors. Kenji Tamai (agehasprings, Sing “Yesterday” for Me, Samurai Flamenco) is composing the music.

Synopsis of Girls Band Cry:

The main character drops out of high school in her second year and intends to go to university while working alone in Tokyo. A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn't know what to do. Another girl is abandoned by her parents and tries to survive in the city doing part-time jobs. This world disappoints us all the time. Nothing goes as planned. But we want something we can continue to enjoy. We believe there's a place where we belong. That's why we sing.

Finally, Toei Animation is perhaps best known for its work on long-running anime series, such as the annual magical girl series Precure, One Piece, and classics like Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, and Slam Dunk.
