Issues 36 and 37 of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump The Promised Neverland , a manga by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demisu , has entered the climax of its final arc.
The manga entered its final arc in September of last year, and in an interview, Shirai stated that he "didn't want to overextend" the manga's story. He and the story editor agreed, saying that the ideal length for the manga would be "20 to 30 volumes long."
The manga, which has been published since August 2016, has 15 volumes published to date. Panini publishes the manga in Brazil, and the publisher has published 6 volumes.
An anime adaptation aired this winter, animated by CloverWorks , and ran for 13 episodes. A second season has been announced for 2020, but the release date has not yet been confirmed.
