Issues 36 and 37 of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump The Promised Neverland , a manga by Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demisu , has entered the climax of its final arc.
The manga entered its final arc last September, and in an interview, Shirai stated that he "didn't want to stretch the manga's story too much." He and the story's editor agreed, saying that the ideal length for the manga would be "20 to 30 volumes."
The manga, which has been published since August 2016, currently has 15 volumes published. Panini publishes the manga in Brazil, and has released 6 volumes.
An anime adaptation aired during this year's winter season, animated by CloverWorks and consisting of 13 episodes. A second season has been announced for 2020, but its release date has not yet been confirmed.
