Synopsis
The books focus on the world of the yatagarasu, the Japanese name for a variant of the mythical crown gods found in East Asian folklore. Furthermore, the yatagarasu have the ability to transform between human and crow forms and reside in the world of Yamauchi, a parallel world created by the yatagarasu god Yamagami. Within Yamauchi, the yatagarasu live in a society reminiscent of Heian-era Japan. Furthermore, this parallel world remains connected to our human world.
As for "Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai," the story revolves around a handsome yet eccentric yatagarasu boy named Yukiya, who is chosen to become the servant of the imperial prince. The plot unfolds as Yukiya and the prince become embroiled in intrigues and conspiracies at court.
