With the announcement that animation filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki not retire after the film The Wind Rises, Matt Groening and his team took advantage of the latest episode of The Simpsons to pay tribute to the Japanese director of Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo.

The Simpsons is currently shown in Brazil and the USA on Sundays on Fox.
