Guillermo del Toro was responsible for revamping the famous opening sequence of The Simpsons series, which in his version includes allusions to his own films such as Pacific Rim, Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth and the famous Blade, as well as references to writers Stephen King , Alfred Hitchcock and Edgar Allan Poe.

The Halloween episode of the 25th season of The Simpsons, titled "Treehouse of Horror XXIV," will air in the US on October 6th on Fox, the same channel that airs the series in Brazil.
