Our beloved Aniplex USA has posted a trailer for the third Madoka Magica The Movie -Rebellion- (Gekijō-ban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica Shinpen: Hangyaku no Monogatari) film; the video reveals details of the theatrical release in the United States this winter.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: The Rebellion Story , the third film in the series created by Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero, Psycho-Pass), would present an original story, unlike the previous two which were a summary of the TV series.
The feature film is directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and Yukihiro Miyamoto. Character design is by Ume Aoki. Yuki Kajiura will be responsible for the music. ClariS and Kalafina will perform the opening and ending themes of the film, respectively. The animation will once again be done by studio SHAFT. The voice cast will return to reprise their respective roles.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Shinpen: Hangyaku no Monogatari premieres on October 26th in Japanese theaters.
