The anime Vinland Saga, based on the work of Makoto Yukimura, may have a very different ending from the manga.

According to director Shuhei Yabuta, who spoke on his personal Twitter account, the story will undergo some adjustments and the series should be viewed as a standalone piece of content.

There will be some adjustments from the manga in future episodes. Because we feel it's necessary to enjoy this series as a standalone piece of content. We hope you enjoy our attempt!

In the next episode… They meet the King.

The series is animated by the renowned Wit Studio (Attack on Titan), directed by Shuhei Yabuta (Inuyashiki), with a story by Hiroshi Seko (Ajin – Demi-Human) and character designs by Takahiko Abiru (Hunter x Hunter).

Finally, Vinland Saga is available on Amazon Prime.
