Today, we've brought you a short list of the worst live-action anime adaptations you shouldn't watch! Or, if you're curious to know why they're so bad, watch them! Worst Live-Action Anime Adaptations – Complete Failures

Dragon Ball Evolution: And who doesn't remember this icon that became a meme when it was released? Well, here we see that Hollywood managed to turn a true work of art into a joke. Furthermore, the characterizations were banal and disregarded, and the narrative made absolutely no sense compared to the original work.

Furthermore, another area where the film falls short is in its scenes, which are downright ridiculous. It's clear the producers never watched an episode of Dragon Ball or read a single page of the manga before writing the script.

Death Note (2017): Now, another iconic moment in cinema was undoubtedly this Death Note movie in 2017. It's impressive how the United States has this tendency to misrepresent Japanese culture and try to adapt it to Western culture. Therefore, the film was a complete fiasco, since literally all the characters in the work were deconstructed and misrepresented.

Without a doubt, the script and narrative were also quite bland, which ultimately worsened the final result on screen. On the other hand, the actors also deserve criticism, as their performances were far below expectations.

Worst Live-Action Anime Films – Biggest Disappointments

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso: This anime, which was undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of its time and touched everyone's hearts! However, the live-action adaptation was highly anticipated, but it disappointed everyone. First of all, it's worth saying that it would never work to compile the entire original work into just a few hours of film.

Furthermore, I must also highlight the terrible performance of the actress who played the female protagonist, as her acting was quite superficial and doesn't compare to the emotions you feel in the original work. Therefore, I highly recommend reading the manga or watching the anime.

Attack on Titan: And finally, let's talk about one of the most talked-about anime of the moment, especially with its final season drawing ever closer. On the other hand, the live-action adaptation was a real disappointment for fans, where they basically changed everything from the original work. Not to mention that the special effects are literally awful! Honestly, trying to bring all the effects seen in an anime to real life will never work.

Well folks, that was our special list for the day. I hope you enjoyed it and that you don't watch any of these works. I wish you all a great week and until next time!
