Netflix revealed Netflix Festival Japan 2021 live event that it will stream the Thermae Romae Novae anime worldwide in 2022 (previously, the anime was scheduled to premiere later this year).
The event also revealed that Kenjiro Tsuda will voice protagonist Lucius .
Synopsis
Lucius, a bath designer in the Roman Empire, accidentally travels back in time to present-day Japan and learns about Japanese bath culture in this comedy story.
Tetsuya Tatamitani is directing the anime, while Yuuichirou Momose is writing the scripts. NAZ is producing the animation based on the original manga, in addition to presenting new stories written by Yamazaki .
