Chainsaw Man's appearance in the anime Boku no Hero was removed

The trailer for the 6th season of Boku no Hero Academia came out recently and we noticed that they removed the appearance of Chainsaw Man Tatsuki Fujimoto 's manga .

Boku no Hero author Horikoshi Kohei put Chainsaw Man in the scene as a joke, to reference another manga. In editorial terms, this reference is possible because both manga are from Shueisha (and were even in the same magazine for a while). However, in the anime it's another story, Chainsaw Man is from the MAPPA and Boku no Hero is from the BONES . This means that Chainsaw Man appearing in another studio's animation would be a copyright violation.

Despite being somewhat frivolous, it is a frustration for fans, this should have been predicted and remedied before it happened if there was an agreement between the studios following Shueisha's intervention. However, it seems that it was not a matter worthy of attention.

Interestingly, instead of completely removing the character, they left the same silhouette as Chainsaw Man, but changed the colors and design a little. The famous “ copies, but does not make the same”. ” Thus we have the incredible appearance of the SAW MAN .

Finally, Horikoshi Kouhei's Boku no Hero Academia has been published in Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014 and entered its final arc in March 2021. The sixth season of the anime adaptation premieres on October 1 in Japan and will be available on Crunchyroll in Brazil.
