To Be Hero X is increasingly exciting and unpredictable. In episode 6 , released on May 11, Yang Cheng takes over as the new E-Soul and becomes famous among young people. However, the first E-Soul is not very happy with his rise. Furthermore, Pomelinho's kidnappers claim that Yang Cheng was the one responsible for hiring them, causing a stir among the audience.
For those confused by the protagonist change in the last episode, or unsure whether Yang Cheng's story comes before or after Nice's arc, it's worth remembering that To Be Hero X is slightly different from the traditional model. Although each arc features a different character, there's a connection between the events that will become clear by the end of the narrative.
The first four episodes introduce the story of Nice, or rather, young Lin Ling. Episodes 5, 6, and 7 focus on E-Soul. The following episodes will introduce the other heroes who make up the top ten. As for the time period in which Yang Cheng's story takes place, it's clear that it takes place before Nice's arc. In fact, there are some elements present in episode 6 that demonstrate this, such as the statue of Em Riste, which stands firm in the heroes' plaza, and even Enlightenment, who is not yet a villain.
The rise of Yang Cheng as the new E-Soul
After saving Pomelinho, Yang Cheng manifests E-Soul powers. However, this event bothers the "real" E-Soul, as the audience begins to prefer Yang Cheng. The young man has points in his favor, one of which is not wearing a helmet at certain times, as this brings him closer to people. Furthermore, as mentioned in the episode, he has an infectious energy and is seen as a cheerful person, which makes the audience, especially children, prefer him.
At one point in the episode, Yang Cheng is accused of hiring Pomelinho's kidnappers. The two men involved claim that the young man hired them to later save the boy and become a hero. However, Xiang Chao, who now acts as Yang Cheng's agent, obtains evidence of the kidnappers being hired through a phone call, which shows that they had no personal contact with anyone. In other words, the person who hired them remains unknown.
Furthermore, Xiang Chao calls on Enlightenment, who is still a hero, to investigate the connection. Ultimately, with the evidence and investigations presented, Yang Cheng's charges are dropped. The episode is light on action, but it makes up for it with an interesting plot and an unexpected ending.
To Be Hero X Episode 6 Brings a Surprise Ending
The surprising endings of To Be Hero X are already a hallmark of the series. The end of episode 6 shows a previously unknown man killing Xiang Chao. The murder occurs near Yang Cheng and Xia Qing. However, the hero is unable to arrive in time to prevent his friend's death.
There are two striking points in the scene. First, the man responsible for the murder, wearing a mask and cap, has hair very similar to that of one of Pomelinho's kidnappers. Second, when the killer shoots Xiang Chao, the young man is wearing the mask of the new E-Soul, that is, Yang Cheng. Therefore, it's likely that the target was actually the hero.
Another highlight of the episode is the aura of the real E-Soul. He has an introverted demeanor and never removes his helmet, making him an extremely mysterious character.
The anime still has a lot to explore. However, the E-Soul arc concludes in the next episode, and the ending will likely connect with one of the ranked heroes, which, according to the published schedule , will be Lucky Cyan.
