anime adaptation of the Maybe manga , Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e ( To the Abandoned Sacred Beasts ) received a new trailer and poster with the look of the work. Its debut is scheduled for July 1st.
“During the Civil War, the North—desperate to defeat the South—utilized forbidden magic that transformed its soldiers into monstrous beings known as “incarnates.” In exchange for their humanity, they were granted immense power to defeat their enemies. However, despite their lands being saved, many created fear of the incarnates after the war, causing them to be avoided, and some even killed.
Years later, in a town in the middle of nowhere, Nancy Schaal Bancroft finds her target—the man responsible for killing her “incarnate” father. Armed with a rifle, she aims and shoots, but he remains unharmed. Despite having revealed his vengeful intentions to him, the man has more important matters to resolve: the murder of another incarnate. During the clash, Schaal discovers that his father's killer is also an Incarnate, and his series of murders is due to a promise he made long ago: that any Incarnate who loses their humanity will be killed by one of their own.
After the death of the beast, the incarnate known as Hank invites Schaal to accompany him on his journey, so that she can understand the truth behind her father's death and why it is better to kill these monstrous beings at the hands of her former companions. .”
