The official website for the film To You in the Beyond ( Doki doko Yori mo Tooi Basho ni Iru Kimi e ) has released a new teaser and visual, as well as confirming the main cast of the production. The film adapts the novel Doko Yori mo Tooi Basho ni Iru Kimi e , written by Akiko Abe and published in 2017 by Shueisha.

The story follows Kazuki Tsukigase, a student who moves to a secluded island seeking a fresh start. There, he discovers rumors about people disappearing in a mysterious cove. During an exploration, he finds an unconscious girl named Nao, who harbors unusual secrets.
The series is directed by Junichi Wada , known for HIGH CARD, with a script by Sayaka Kuwamura . Character design is by Hechima, who also serves as chief animation director. The animation is produced by TMS Entertainment .
Distribution will be handled by Shochiku, in partnership with Pony Canyon . The theatrical release in Japan is scheduled for October 9, 2026, with international details yet to be revealed.
The original novel was adapted into a manga illustrated by Haruka Chino, published in the Tonari no Young Jump service since August 2025. The first compiled volume was released in Japan in February 2026.
