Synopsis
The story follows an unknown supernatural entity capable of assimilating dead creatures and transforming into them. The first season of the anime premiered in April 2021 on NHK Educational. Furthermore, the anime was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2020, but was postponed due to the schedule being severely affected by COVID-19 . Crunchyroll streamed the anime.
Staff
Kiyoko Sayama (Vampire Knight) is the anime's new director, replacing Masahiko Murata. Drive ( Vladlove ) is the new animation studio, replacing the Brains Base . The rest of the main staff returns, including Shinzou Fujita as script supervisor, Koji Yabuno as character designer, Ryo Kawasaki as music composer, and Takeshi Takadera as sound director.

The first arc of the manga ended in December 2019 and the second arc began in January 2020. To Your Eternity won the Best Shounen Manga award at the 43rd Kodansha Manga Awards in May 2019.
