According to information published in V-Jump magazine, Tokyo Ghoul:re will be getting a game for PlayStation 4. The game will focus on the theme of survival.
The new game is titled Tokyo Ghoul :re Call to Exist .
Based on the manga by Sui Ishida, players will be able to fight transformed as Ghouls. Call to Exist will feature single-player action, online battles, and cooperative play, where the story will be told from the perspective of three characters.
Ishida launched the manga in 2011 and finished publishing it in 2014 with 14 volumes. Tokyo Ghoul:re also began being drawn in the same year.
The first season follows Ken Kaneki, a student who barely survives a deadly encounter with Rize Kamishiro, a woman who reveals herself to be a ghoul; ghouls are human-like creatures that hunt and devour human flesh. Upon this revelation, Rize attacks Kaneki, who is severely wounded. Desperately trying to escape, Rize corners him until several metal pipes fall on her, seemingly killing her. Shortly after, Kaneki collapses from his injuries and is rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
