It has been announced that the tenth volume of Sui Ishida 's Tokyo Ghoul has been greenlit for an anime adaptation. More details will appear in upcoming issues of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump .

It portrays the suspense, horror, and dark fantasy of a story set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious " ghosts " that are devouring human beings. People are completely gripped by fear of these ghosts, whose identities remain a mystery.

A college student named Kaneki meets Rize, a girl who loves to read, at the diner he frequents. Gradually, he realizes that his destiny will change one night.

Ishida launched the manga in 2011 in Weekly Young Jump. The manga sold approximately 1,666,348 copies last year, and currently has 2.6 million copies sold.
