The long-awaited horror anime “ Tokyo Ghoul” has gained some news, and the 13th issue of Weekly Young Jump , from the famous Shueisha, announced the production team for the anime and the studio that will take care of the animation.
The production will be handled by Shuhei Morita (Tsukumo), and the studio will be the classic Pierrot , known for famous works, including the animes Bleach and Naruto.
The animation director is Kazuhiro Miwa (Eureka Seven AO), along with playwright Chuji Mikasano (LDK) who is supervising and writing the script.
The original story of the manga takes place in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious Ghouls, who are devouring humans. People are gripped by fear of these creatures whose identity is a mystery. A college student named Kaneki meets Rize, a reading girl, at the cafeteria he always frequents. Little by little, he realizes that her destiny will change in one night.
