A little bit about the adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul!
The story of the anime Tokyo Ghoul revolves around Ken Kaneki, who manages to survive a deadly attack by Rize Kamishiro, a woman who reveals herself to be a Ghoul, a human-like creature that hunts and devours human flesh. After a mysterious accident, Kaneki is taken to the hospital in critical condition. After recovering, Kaneki discovers that he has somehow undergone surgery that transformed him into a Half-Ghoul, and like them, he must consume human flesh to survive and live healthily.
With no one to turn to, he is taken in by the manager of a coffee shop called "Anteiku," where he is taught how to live as half-human and half-ghoul and how to interact with Ghoul society and its factions, all while striving to keep his identity secret from other humans.
Sui Ishida launched Tokyo Ghoul in 2011, finishing its publication in 2014 with 14 volumes, and then began publishing Tokyo Ghoul:re that same year.
