Requested for a while by loyal readers, we can finally have “ Tokyo Ghoul ” in our hands, because Panini has made its arrival on the Brazilian market official.
Published between 2011 and 2014 by Shueisha, with 14 bound volumes, Sui Ishida's work has been adapted into a variety of genres. In 2014, it received an animated version by Pierrot, split into two seasons, as well as two manga sequels titled Tokyo Ghoul: Jack and Tokyo Ghoul:re, and a musical theater production.
The story takes place in Tokyo, where creatures called ghouls have emerged, feeding on human flesh. The story centers on Ken Kaneki, a student who survives an attack by Rize Kamishiro, a ghoul. Upon awakening, he discovers he underwent surgery and had his attacker's organs transferred into his body, transforming him into a half-ghoul.
The title's official launch will take place during the Anime Friends event in July.
