This year, issue 46 of Shueisha 's Young Jump confirmed that the second season of the Tokyo Ghoul will arrive on Japanese television in January. The official Chinese website for the Tokyo Ghoul series announced the series' sequel . Only now can we officially confirm its continuation in 2014.
Tokyo Ghoul premiered in Japan on July 3rd at midnight (specifically July 4th) on Tokyo MX, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TVQ Kyushu Broadcast, and BS dlife. Funimation currently streams the series in North America, and has also licensed the series for DVD release.
The story takes place in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious monsters, the "Ghouls," who devour humans at night. The city's inhabitants are completely consumed by fear of these beings, whose identities are shrouded in mystery. One day, an ordinary college student named Kaneki meets Rize, a beautiful girl who shares his habit of reading books, at the café she frequents. But when night falls, his life is changed by horrifying events.
