While there's still no confirmation from the producers of the Tokyo Ghoul anime, it's worth remembering that the second season was leaked in this way, through an error on the franchise's Chinese website, which ended up revealing the series many months in advance.
According to sources from the international news site “ ANN ”, FUNimation confirmed that they were “ anticipating a 2016 release ”, but did not specify whether they were referring to the series or the game. After being asked about the product, the company did not respond to ANN.
