The official website for the anime Tokyo Mew Mew New revealed this Sunday that the second season will premiere on April 4th on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
Additionally, the site also released a promotional video and new artwork.

The video above therefore shows the opening theme song of Smewthie , titled “Megamorphose”.
The first season premiered in July 2022.
The five main cast members therefore formed a band called Smewthie, and their first single was released digitally in March 2021.

Synopsis
The story centers on Ichigo Momomiya, who expected his encounter with his love interest, Masaya Aoyama, to end romantically rather than being knocked unconscious after seeing a cat enter his body. Things get even stranger when the next day he discovers he's begun exhibiting feline instincts and habits. Finally, when Masaya is attacked by a monster, she discovers she can transform into a magical girl with cat ears, named Mew Ichigo. Afterward, Ichigo discovers that, along with other girls like her, they must defend the planet from an imminent threat.
