The official website for the Tokyo Mew Mew New revealed this Sunday that the second season of the anime will premiere on April 4th on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
In addition, the website also released a promotional video and new art.

The video above therefore shows the opening theme song for Smewthie , titled “Megamorphose”.
The first season premiered in July 2022.
The five main cast members therefore formed a band called Smewthie, and their first single was released digitally in March 2021.

Synopsis
The story focuses on Ichigo Momomiya, who hoped his date with his love interest, Masaya Aoyama, would end romantically instead of falling unconscious after seeing a cat enter his body. Things get stranger when the next day he discovers that he has begun to exhibit feline instincts and habits. Finally, when Masaya is attacked by a monster, she then discovers that she can transform into a magical girl with cat ears, named Mew Ichigo. Afterwards, Ichigo discovers that, together with other girls like her, they must defend the planet from an imminent threat.
