Tokyo Revengers' Ending Gets a New Version

The new episode of Tokyo Revengers has aired, and with it, a new version of the ending has also been released. The anime currently adapts the Tenjiku arc.

The character Emma gained special prominence in the anime's new ending.

Nobunaga Shimazaki plays Izana Kurokawa, head of Yokohama's Tenjiku team, while Tetsu Inada plays Kanji Mochizuki, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku.

Synopsis

Takemichi Hanagaki is an unemployed man who survives on odd jobs and is in a bad place. He finds out that Hinata Tachibana, his first and last girlfriend, whom he dated in middle school, has been killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after hearing the news, he's standing on the edge of the train platform and is pushed by the crowd. He closes his eyes, preparing to die, but when he opens them, he's returned to his 12th birthday. Now that he's in the best time of his life, Takemichi decides to take revenge by saving his girlfriend and stopping running from himself.

Ken Wakui launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. Kodansha published the manga's 30th volume on November 17.

The anime adaptation of the manga premiered in April 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and the Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown arc of the anime premiered on January 7 of this year.
