Tokyo Revengers – Manga ends in five more chapters

This year's 47th issue of Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine revealed on Wednesday that Ken Wakui 's Tokyo Revengers will end in five chapters. So, if there are no delays, the manga should end on November 16.

The magazine announced last week that the manga was heading towards the climax of its final arc. The manga entered its final arc in June 2021.

Synopsis

The novel tells the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, who, at 26 years old, discovers he is a time traveler. After discovering the truth behind his ex-girlfriend's death, he manages to return to the past about 12 years, warning her of what would happen to her.

Ken Wakui launched the Tokyo Revengers manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. Kodansha published the manga's 29th volume on August 17 and will publish the 30th volume on November 17.

The anime adaptation of the manga premiered in April 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. The anime's "Seiya Kessen" ("Christmas Showdown") arc premieres in January.

The manga inspired a live-action film that premiered in July 2021. The film was scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

By February 2020, the manga had over 3 million copies in circulation. By May 2021, the manga had 17 million copies in circulation. Tokyo Revengers was the third best-selling manga series in the first half of 2021 (the period between November 2020 and May 2021), behind only Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen, with over 5 million copies sold.

Finally, in 2020, Tokyo Revengers won the 44th annual Kodansha Manga Award in the “shounen” category.
