This year's 51st issue of Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine revealed that manga creator Ken Wakui will unveil a special arc for his Tokyo Revengers at a large-scale exhibition in Roppongi, Tokyo around November 2023.
The magazine also revealed that it is serializing the spinoff manga “ Tokyo Revengers Extra .”
Tokyo Revengers Extra features eight chapters and focuses on the founders of the Tokyo Manji Gang. The first chapter is titled "The Wounded Tiger." The manga's extra chapters were originally bundled with the Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases of the Tokyo Revengers anime.
The manga ended this Wednesday.
Synopsis
Takemichi Hanagaki is an unemployed man who survives on odd jobs and is in a bad place. He finds out that Hinata Tachibana, his first and last girlfriend, whom he dated in middle school, has been murdered by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after he hears the news, he's standing on the edge of the train platform and is pushed by the crowd. He closes his eyes, preparing to die, but when he opens them, he's returned to his 12th birthday. Now that he's in the best time of his life, Takemichi decides to take revenge by saving his girlfriend and stopping running from himself.
Ken Wakui then launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017. The publisher therefore published the 29th volume of the manga on August 17, and will publish the 30th volume on Thursday.
