After a major reboot of the classic TOMB RAIDER earlier this year, our beloved heroine Lara Croft will venture into another medium. We're talking about comics, of course. Written by screenwriter Gail Simone, known for "Batgirl" and "Wonder Woman," the story will serve as a prequel to the next game in the series—which has yet to be announced or even confirmed.
As explained by screenwriter Simone, the comic's plot will pick up a few weeks after the end of the last "Tomb Raider" and will follow the story of a Lara Croft who's more in search of answers than treasure. " We'll pick up just a few weeks after the end of the first game. Everything will be continuous and lead directly into the sequel, and that makes us very excited to be part of the Tomb Raider story ," Simone revealed .
Published by Dark Horse Comics , the comic book series will have its first volume released on February 26, 2014. Until then, we will be waiting for more information.
