Square Enix has confirmed a sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot, released this year. "Development on this game is going very well," said Phil Rogers , the company's CEO. Darrell Gallagher of Crystal Dynamics , who worked with Square to develop the last game, also spoke about the sequel. "We're still in the early days. (...) But I can assure you that we're trying to improve even further on what we've done to live up to the faith you've placed in us," he said. The new title was rumored after the announcement of the comic book that would continue the story of the first game. The book will be directed by Gail Simone , who has written episodes of Deadpool for Marvel Comics and Batgirl and Wonder Woman for DC Comics.
