Synopsis

Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a boy who disappears into the back of his classroom. When he unintentionally witnesses Anna Yanami, a popular girl in his class, being rejected by her childhood friend, he ends up talking to Anna afterward. Mixing sadness and anger, Anna reveals that her childhood friend had promised to marry her in the past, when they were four or five years old. While Kazuhiko feels sorry for Anna, he also can't help but think that this kind of promise made in childhood doesn't count. Without realizing it, he begins to meet girls at school who have all been rejected by the guys they like.

Amamori released the first volume of the novel in July 2021 under Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Imigimuru. The sixth volume will be released on December 18th. The work won the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award in 2020.
