Toonami has already started broadcasting a call announcing the premiere of One Piece for May 18th, starting at 1am. The return of the anime, which is being treated with great importance both for the block and for the distributor FUNimation , responsible for licensing the series in the United States, has been helping with publicity.
The anime will be shown from episode 207 onwards. One Piece will be shown in HD, but it will not be broadcast from the first episode, but from 207 (Great Adventure on the Long Road of the Long Earth!) of the Davy Fight Back arc . Toonami itself , showing the anime from this point on is ideal and will not hinder the understanding of the story for those who already follow it.
FUNimation will also make all the older episodes of the series available through its website for those who want to satisfy their nostalgia or better understand the plot. The distributor is also working on special summary chapters that will air later on Toonami.
