The year is ending, and with it, on this December 31st, we're listing the 5 best anime that came out in 2019. I begin this article by apologizing if the anime you're a fan of isn't on the list; in other words… it's just a TOP 5.

I'll start the list with Food Wars!. Without losing its crazy pace, the season focused on exploring each character's past and showcasing their best skills. Above all, the anime maintains plenty of humor and mouthwatering dishes.

4. Dr. Stone

04 Dr. Stone Anime

Animated by TMS Entertainment , this first season has already captivated a large portion of anime fans, leaving most curious about how the story will be resolved. It deserves to be highlighted this year.

3. Boku no Hero Academia

Maintaining its position as one of the most prominent anime series each year, the new season undeniably showcases the challenges and gravity of the new situations the characters find themselves in, featuring creative battles, new heroes, and villains alike.

2. Kimetsu no Yaiba

Without a doubt, after the buzz surrounding this anime, fans found a hidden treasure in 2019. Kimetsu no Yaiba is a prime example of this year's great premieres, impressing with its animation produced by Ufotable studio and a well-crafted script that simultaneously makes you want to get spoilers and read the manga in advance. The anime deserves second place on the list.

1. Shingeki no Kyojin

First on the list is Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), which even earned a 10/10 rating on IMDb for the episode "Hero ." The anime held its own into its third season. Furthermore, the unprecedented story development and battles were highlights of a series that didn't abandon its original premise.

However, we have some honorable mentions to highlight, among them: The Promised Neverland, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Sword Art Online: Alicization, Vinland Saga, and Kaguya-Sama: Love is War.

Finally, this is my TOP 5 of the anime that defined the year 2019.
