In the world of anime, there are many peculiar , and one of them is dogs. In our reality, dogs are pets or work for the police, as guides for the visually impaired, and even for firefighters, but in anime this is taken to the extreme, portraying dogs as powerful warriors, while ( almost ) always maintaining their characteristic companionship with humans.
Persona 3: Koromaru – Shiba Inu

Koromaru from the Persona 3 , inspired by the game of the same name, was the dog of a monk at the Naganaki temple on Tatsumi Port Island . After his owner's death, he was left alone at the temple, cared for by local residents. Koromaru continued to wait for his master at the temple ( Koromaru's story was inspired by Hachiko from the film Always By Your Side ). However, one night he encountered a Shadow, fought it, and won!
Shortly after, Akihito Sanada, who was on his way to the temple to fight the Shadow, found Koromaru injured. Akihito was impressed by the dog's bravery and intelligence, and Mitsuru Kirijo sent him to receive veterinary treatment as quickly as possible.
Shuji Ikutsuki decides to make Koromaru the newest member of SEES ( Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad ) to fight against Shadows in the Dark Hour.
Chainsaw Man: Pochita – Demon Dog

Pochita from the Chainsaw Man is the chainsaw demon dog that represents the fear of chainsaws . He initially met Denji after being injured by some mysterious being while Denji was visiting his mother's grave.
Despite being a demon slayer, Denji decides to give some of his blood to Pochita so he can recover from his wounds, on the condition that the two become partners.
The demon Pochita begins living with Denji, helping him hunt demons and chop down trees with the chainsaw on his head to earn money, but even so, the two live miserably.
Cowboy Bebop: Ein – Corgi

Ein from the anime Cowboy Bebop is a dog that was genetically modified in a laboratory to be more intelligent, but one day Abdul Hakim steals him intending to sell him. He hides him in a suitcase and takes it to a buyer, but the suitcase is stolen by a thief who didn't know what was inside. The thief takes him to Animal Treasure hoping to make some money, but is caught by Spike Spiegel , who was looking for Hakim.
The Corgi is revealed when they open the suitcase, and Spike, thinking it's unrelated to Hakim, leaves. However, Hakim appears, confronting the thief and trying to grab the suitcase, but Ein jumps, attempting to escape, causing a commotion that frees the animals from Animal Treasure. Hakim chases Ein with Spike, who manages to escape during the chaos. Ein manages to lose Hakim and get close to Spike, trusting him immediately.
With his above-average intelligence, Ein is able to drive a car, answer the phone, communicate with other animals, hack a computer with the power of his mind , play Shogi, and watch television.
Naruto: Akamaru – Ninja Dog

Akamaru from the anime and manga Naruto is a ninja dog from the Inuzuka clan of Konohagakure. He is Kiba Inuzuka , and also a member of Team Kurenai. The ninja dog was entrusted to Kiba by his mother, and although they didn't get along at first, they became inseparable companions. Akamaru is kind and cares deeply for Kiba.
In the original Naruto series, Akamaru is a small puppy, but in Naruto Shippuden he grows big enough to be ridden and helps Kiba in battles.
Kill la Kill: Guts – Pug

Gattsu, or Guts, from the anime Kill la Kill is the hungry and insane dog of the protagonist Ryuko's friend, Mako . The name Guts is not a reference to Berserk, but rather because "he eats with great relish".
The Pug wears a blue hooded shirt and can stand on two legs, and also has perverted towards the protagonist Ryuko Matoi .

JoJo Stardust Crusaders: Iggy – Boston Terrier

Iggy from the anime and manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders is a Stand user, possessing the Stand The Fool . He joins the bizarre adventure in the second part of Stardust Crusaders as part of the Speedwagon Foundation to help fight DIO .
Small and antisocial, he likes to fart in people's faces , which caused some friction between him and Polnareff , but over time he becomes more friendly with the members of the "team". Despite being rude and finding humans stupid, Iggy has a good heart and a strong sense of individuality.
Initially, Iggy has a dog-like appearance, but as the story progresses, his face becomes more anthropomorphized.
