1. Denji – デンジ
From now on, our protagonist in this story is called Denji, he is a 16-year-old boy with messy blond hair. He has yellowish-brown eyes and sharp teeth to match. As a boy, he inherits a huge debt from his yakuza father after his death. After meeting the Devil Pochita , he becomes a Devil Hunter for the yakuza in an attempt to pay off his debt.
2. Makima – マキマ
Makima is a mysterious girl appearing to be in her early twenties. She is a Public Security Demon Slayer, much like she took Denji as her human pet. Makima is cunning, intelligent and manipulative, controlling Denji by taking advantage of his attraction to her with promises of a romantic and sexual relationship, while threatening him with extermination if he disobeys her, although Denji truly loves her, Makima is merely captivated by Saw-Man. in Denji's body, to be more precise, in his heart.
3. Aki Hayakawa – 早川アキ
Aki Hayakawa is a Public Security Demon Hunter, working under the Makima Division 4 special squad. He has a contract with the Curse Devil and the Future Devil, allowing him to use a powerful spike in exchange for his life and see a few seconds into the future. Aki is generally a very stoic person, as well as acting mature and trustworthy when around her fellow demon hunters.
4. Power – パワー, Pawā
A Blood Fiend and a Public Safety Devil Hunter who is part of Makima's special squad. Like a demon, she has red horns protruding from the top of her head. She loves violence and is at the same time childish and greedy, almost completely self-motivated and willing to harm others for her own satisfaction.
5. Kobeni Higashiyama – 東山コベニ, Higashiyama Kobeni
At first Kobeni has an unnamed contract , she became a demon hunter in part because her parents forced her to work to support her older brother so she could go to college. Despite her timid and cowardly attitude, she is skilled and talented – her reflexes and stealth are unmatched when she is motivated.
6. Himeno – 姫野
Himeno is one of the main characters in the anime Chainsaw Man , Aki Hayakawa's first partner. Phantom Demon Contract: Himeno has the ability to use the Phantom Demon's power in exchange for sacrificing her right eye permanently to the Demon. Himeno can summon and control the Ghost Demon's invisible and intangible right arm. By swapping her entire body, Himeno can summon multiple Phantom Demon arms to attack and subdue her opponent.
7. Kishibe岸辺
First of all, the strongest demon hunter in the organization. Older than most of the other hunters, he is scarred and cynical. He trains Denji and Power , and was Quanxi's partner in his youth.
Therefore, author Tatsuki Fujimoto launched the manga Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018, finishing the first arc in December 2020 with 11 volumes. In Brazil, the manga is published by Panini.
Finally, as of October 2020 Chainsaw had more than 4.2 million copies in circulation.
