UAE-based production company Alter Ego Productions Torkaizer , an anime-style mecha series produced entirely in the Middle East. The first trailer was released in April of this year and caught the public's attention for its quality.

Torkaizer tells the story of Ahmed, an ordinary young man from the United Arab Emirates who finds himself in a difficult situation while on vacation in Japan. The city of Tokyo is invaded by aliens, and all seems lost. But amidst the chaos, fate takes a turn: Ahmed meets Torkaizer and joins him to defend the Earth from this threat.

Alter Ego Productions plans to turn Torkaizer into a full-length series and is seeking investors to take the project forward. More news is expected in 2014.
