Touken Ranbu Kai Synopsis:

Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, who nearly caused the complete destruction of his unit, decides to abdicate his vassal position at his own request. Heshi Kiri Hasebe is appointed the new vassal by his master, Saniwa, but he is still not satisfied with this. Hasebe, now under Saniwa's orders, begs for Yamanbagiri Kunihiro to be readmitted to his unit, and together with Tsurumaru Kuninaga, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, Doutanuki Masakuni, Ookurikara, and others, they set out for the Battle of Bitchu Takamatsu Castle. While Hashiba Hideyoshi and his allies, including Kuroda Kanbee, build a dam to flood Bitchu Takamatsu Castle, at the same time, Akechi's army searches for Nobunaga's head at Honnoji Temple.

In the interweaving of these stories, will they find the answers they seek? This is the story of the vassals, a narrative that is inherited and repeated.

Finally, the franchise previously inspired the anime Katsugeki .
