Dragon Ball Super may be on hiatus, but Toyotaro—the series' current manga artist —hasn't slowed down for a second. While fans await news about the manga's return, he revealed exclusive new artwork of Ultra Instinct Goku and Beast Gohan during a live event in Tokyo.

The event took place at AEON Mall Makuhari New City on May 11, 2025, as part of the promotional tour for the game Dragon Ball Super Divers . Although the game is not yet available outside of Japan, its success there is undeniable. Therefore, the event was divided into four dates, with a special appearance by Toyotaro, who presented fans with autographs and a never-before-seen illustration.
Goku and Gohan Beast side by side: Preview of what's to come?
In the artwork, Goku and Gohan appear back to back, ready for combat, displaying their most impressive transformations. Undeniably, this illustration reinforces Toyotaro's affection for these characters—especially in their more advanced forms.

In fact, the cover of volume 24 of the Dragon Ball Super manga had already recently attracted attention for featuring Goku, Beast Gohan, Vegeta (in Ultra Ego), Broly in his Rage form, and Orange Piccolo. The back of the cover also featured an image of Black Frieza , which reignited theories among fans about the possible arrival of the long-awaited Black Frieza arc.
Volume 24: Clash of Generations and a Promising Future
In one of the most electrifying moments of volume 24, Goku challenges Gohan to test the power of his son's new transformation. However, Beast Gohan surprises him and quickly dominates the fight.
