The new animated film for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse showed what it was made for. With incredible visuals and movements that immediately recall reading the comics, the second trailer reveals a bit more of the story. To the surprise of the video, which blends Spider-Man's multiverses, the character Gwen-Spider (Hailee Steinfeld) was revealed for a surprise appearance.
The story of the film Spider-Verse follows Miles Morales encountering Peter, who is no longer the teenager we usually see. He's an older superhero at the end of his career, so he has a very different perspective on what it means to be a superhero.
The film is directed by Peter Ramsey, who also worked on (Rise of the Guardians) in 2012. The official release is by Sony and is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 14, 2018.
