Transformers: Age of Extinction has received a special trailer for the Japanese market. It features lead actor Mark Wahlberg , who in the video introduces the film as Transformers: Lost Age .
In the plot, as humanity attempts to rebuild itself four years after the conclusion of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have disappeared from the face of the Earth. However, a powerful group of scientists and entrepreneurs, seeking to learn from past Transformer invasions, ends up pushing the boundaries of technology beyond their control.
Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender) will play Mark Wahlberg's teenage daughter, while Jack Reynor will play her race car driver boyfriend. Stanley Tucci plays a scientist; Kelsey Grammer plays the villain, Harold Attinger, an industrial spy; and Sophia Myles, from Underworld, also plays a scientist.
Transformers 4 is scheduled for release on June 27th in the US and July 18th in Brazil.
