Recently, at the Tokyo Olympic Games we had two tributes to One Piece! That's it folks, two athletes from different sports and nationalities paid a great tribute to the most successful work in anime and manga ! Now, without further ado, let’s check out what they came up with:

Homage to One Piece – Luffy
Firstly, we had Miltos Tedoglou who is a Greek long jump athlete. He, who on Monday of this week paid tribute to the future Pirate King Luffy. Well, upon entering the competition, he simply bent down and struck the same pose as the protagonist when activating Gear Second!
Furthermore, it was all worth it in the end, as our beloved Greek athlete got him the gold medal in the tiebreaker criteria! In fact, to everyone's surprise, he managed to jump exactly 8.41 distance. Maybe he really knows how to use Gear Second, right?!

Homage to One Piece – Franky
The second honor took place in the shot put by American Payton Otterdahl. There, he did the classic SUUUUUPEEERR Franky pose! Furthermore, he not only imitated the choreography perfectly, but also shouted SUUUUUPEEERR to make everything even cooler.
In fact, all this performance was also enough to qualify him for the finals, with an incredible score of 20.90! Maybe he's also a cyborg? Either way, we wish him the best of luck for the final and may he get a medal for his country.
Anyway guys, will we see more homages to anime at these Olympics? Furthermore, it would be really cool if some Brazilian did something like this. In any case, keep following our blog for any news and if you have any criticisms or suggestions, leave them in the comments. And until next time!
