Trigun Stampede gets its 2nd trailer!

Studio TOHO and CG Orange revealed a second trailer for the Trigun Stampede this Saturday.

The video then reveals three new voice actors in the cast, plus members of the technical team for the anime to premiere in January 2023 on TV Tokyo and other networks.

Therefore, the revealed voice actors include:

  • Sakura Andou as Meryl Stryfe
  • Kenji Matsuda as Roberto De Niro
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Nicholas D. Wolfwood.

Takehiko Okishi is then credited with drafting the story, while Tatsurou Inamoto, Shin Okashima, and Yoshihisa Ueda are writing the scripts and are responsible for composition. Nao Ootsu is the lead designer, while character designers include Koudai Watanabe, Tetsuro Moronuki, Takahiko Abiru, Akiko Satou, Soji Ninomiya, and Yumihiko Amano. Tatsuya Katou (Free!, Fate franchises/kaleid liner Prisma Illya) is composing the music.

Other team members include:

  • Scenography: Tomoyuki Aoki, Tomoyasu Fujise, Toshiyuki Sakae and Anri Jojo
  • Creature Design: Eiji Yamamori
  • Special effects design: Kiyotaka Oshiyama
  • Chief CG Director: Eiji Inomoto
  • Visual effects art director: Kensuke Yamamoto, Taishi Hayakawa
  • Color design: Ken Hashimoto
  • Art Director: Yuuji Kaneko
  • Screen layout: Hiroshi Saito
  • Director of Photography: Takashi Aoki, Ryuudai Koshida
  • Editing: Daisuke Imai
  • Recording Mixing: Takahiro Fujishima
  • Sound editor: Masatoshi Katsumata

As such, Crunchyroll will stream the series starting in January 2023 across the world, excluding Asia but including the Philippines, Singapore, India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Therefore, Kenji Mutou (director of Cavity Express, storyboarder of BEASTARS, episode director of Land of the Lustrous) is directing the anime at studio Orange. Kouji Tajima is the concept designer and is credited with the character concepts.

The anime will star:

  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Vash the Stampede
  • Junya Ikeda as Knives Millions
  • Tomoyo Kurosawa as Young Vash
  • Yumiri Hanamori as Young Knives
  • Maaya Sakamoto as Rem Saverem

Synopsis

The story revolves around Vash The Stampede, a nomadic gunslinger who travels from town to town and has a checkered past. Every city this man passes through is completely devastated, causing immense damage, which is the reason for his nickname Humanoid Typhoon.

Lastly, the original anime adaptation of Madhouse aired for 26 episodes in Japan in 1998.
