The production of TRIGUN STARGAZE has confirmed an important change in the voice cast. Starting with episode 14 (S02E02), the character Zazie the Beast will be voiced by Minami Takayama , replacing the beloved TARAKO , who passed away in March 2024.

According to the production committee, TARAKO played an essential role in bringing Zazie to life in both Trigun Stampede and Trigun Stargaze . Her performance managed to balance strangeness, dignity, and a unique charisma. Therefore, the impact of her loss was deeply felt by the entire team.
Meanwhile, thanks to the pre-recording process adopted by the anime, it was possible to keep Tarako's original voice in the first episode of the new series. Therefore, fans were still able to relive her performance before the definitive transition.
Finally, the studio publicly thanked the voice actress for all her contributions and asked the audience to follow Zazie's journey to the end. Thus, the character will continue her final arc, begun by Tarako and now guided by Minami Takayama.
