Rumor Alert: Ubel Blatt May Get Anime Adaptation
Synopsis:
Übel Blatt's story takes place in a medieval fantasy setting, following the footsteps of Koinzell, who appears to be nothing more than a young half-human, notable for the striking scar across his left eye. He is determined to seek revenge against those who betrayed and murdered him, calling themselves the seven heroes of the region.
Thus, the renowned semi-annual seinen manga magazine Young Gangan serialized Übel Blatt's pages from December 2004 until 2009. They later transferred it to Monthly Big Gangan, where the series continued until its conclusion in March 2019. Square Enix compiled the series' 170 chapters into 24 tankōbon volumes.
However, a side story titled Übel Blatt Gaiden was published in Young Gangan Big in August 2011. Yen Press began publishing Übel Blatt in North America in October 2014. The series has also been translated into French, where it has ranked among the country's bestsellers.
