The 15th issue of Shueisha 's Shonen Jump announced a new 50-minute anime based on the game Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (Narutimate Storm Revolution), which will be produced by Studio Pierrot.
Furthermore, according to the magazine, an unpublished story about the Akatsuki team will be presented.
The game features new gameplay mechanics, including jutsu and technique combinations, and most importantly: 100 playable characters from both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
Narutimate Storm Revolution will be the result of a partnership between CyberConnect2 and Namco Bandai Games. It is scheduled for release this year on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
