The 15th issue of Shueisha 's Shonen Jump announced a new 50-minute animation based on the game Naruto Shippunden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (Narutimate Storm Revolution), which will be produced by Studio Pierrot.
Furthermore, according to the magazine, a new story about the Akatsuki team will be presented.
The game features new gameplay mechanisms, including jutsu and technical combinations and most importantly: 100 playable characters, both from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
Narutimate Storm Revolution will be the result of a partnership between CyberConnect2 and Namco Bandai Games. The release is scheduled for this year, for both PS3 and X-box 360.
