It has been confirmed that production of the 2nd season Ultraman animation will arrive on Netflix in spring 2022.
Thus, the first season premiered in the service's catalog on April 1, 2019, the animation is from the studios Production IG (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East, Napping Princess) and Sola Digital Arts (Appleseed Alpha, Starship Troopers: Invasion, Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars).
Synopsis:
Several years have passed since the events of Ultraman, with the legendary "Giant of Light" (光の巨人 Hikari no Kyojin) now a memory, believed to have returned home after battling the many giant aliens that invaded Earth. Shinjiro, Shin Hayata's son, seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father's revelation that he is Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to fight the new aliens invading Earth as the new Ultraman.
Finally, the Linebarrels of Iron team launched their manga series based on Tsuburaya Production's most famous live-action special effects hero in Monthly Hero magazine in 2011.
