During the “UtaMilu Event Vol. 1 ~happy to sing~” event, fans learned that Utagoe wa Mille-Feuille (A Singing Voice Is a Mille-Feuille Pastry) will have an anime adaptation.

Pony Canyon and Takuya Yamanaka (known for works such as Scarlet Nexus and Noragami Aragoto) of the band THE ORAL CIGARETTES created the original concept. Yamanaka is also writing the story. The characters were designed by Che-Rico, while Pony Canyon is in charge of the music production.

Synopsis:

The story follows six high school girls who discover themselves and the world around them through a cappella music. But this coming-of-age journey has already spawned moving voice dramas, vibrant music videos (featuring the characters' own voice actors), and inspiring documentaries that showcase behind-the-scenes experiences of classes and rehearsals.

Finally, the project was launched in April 2022 with the themes “a cappella”, “high school girls” and “complex”.
