Utagoe wa Mille-Feuille gets anime adaptation

During the “UtaMilu Event Vol. 1 ~happy to sing~” event, fans learned that Utagoe wa Mille-Feuille (A Singing Voice Is a Mille-Feuille Pastry) will be adapted into an anime.

Pony Canyon and Takuya Yamanaka (known for works such as Scarlet Nexus and Noragami Aragoto) from the band THE ORAL CIGARETTES are the creators of the original concept. Additionally, Yamanaka is writing the story. The characters were designed by Che-Rico, while Pony Canyon is in charge of the music production.

Synopsis:

The story follows six high school girls who discover themselves and the world around them through a cappella music. But this coming-of-age journey has already given rise to moving voice dramas, vibrant music videos (featuring the characters' own voice actresses) and inspiring documentaries that go behind the scenes of classes and rehearsals.

Finally, the project was launched in April 2022 with the themes “a cappella”, “high school girls” and “complex”.
