King Records has revealed that the adaptation of the second game, Utawarerumono : Itsuwari no Kamen, will be getting an anime adaptation. The anime will premiere in October and run for 25 episodes.

White Fox (Steins;Gate) handles the animation, the direction is by Keitaro Motonaga (Date A Live, School Days) and the character design is by Masahiko Nakata (Utawarerumono, Tears to Tiara).

The game that will inspire the anime will be released on September 24th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Utawarerumono inspired an anime series in 2006 and an OVA in 2009.
