Dragon Ball Super brings new adventures back to Japanese television after 18 years. Character design and story are credited to Akira Toriyama.
In Brazil, Crunchyroll is responsible for the simultaneous transmission with subtitles while Cartoon Network broadcasts the initial chapters with dubbing. The classic voices known in Dragon Ball Z are back, as is the direction of Wendel Bezerra, who directed the first eight episodes.
