The new original anime, Virgin Punk , had its release date announced for fans on social networks after an interview in Newtype . The work is the creation of Yasuomi Umetsu , the same director of Kite (1998) and Mezzo Forte (2000).

With impeccable animation, Virgin Punk has early debut in theaters on June 27, 2025. The first episode won title of Clockwork Girl .
In recent years, Umetsu has contributed as director of openings and endings for several popular series and as an animator, showing his versatility. Now, he announces Virgin Punk, his first major animation project in approximately 10 years.
