The official website for the Virgin Punk has announced a new visual for the series, and the team has reinforced its release date. The work is created by Yasuomi Umetsu , the same director of Kite (1998) and Mezzo Forte (2000).
With impeccable animation from Studio Shaft , Virgin Punk premieres in theaters on June 27, 2025. The first episode is titled Clockwork Girl .
In recent years, Umetsu has contributed as a director of opening and ending sequences for several popular series and as an animator, showcasing his versatility. Now, he announces Virgin Punk, his first major animation project in approximately 10 years.
