Known in Japan as “Drag-On Dragoon 3”, the game has a story that precedes that of the original “Drakengard” for the PlayStation 2 console. It is being developed by Access Games, of “Deadly Premonition” and “Lord of Arcana” fame, and will be released for the PlayStation 3.
In the world of “Drakengard 3”, five goddesses with magical powers derived from songs saved the world from chaos by defeating the feudal lords who ruled it. They are the Utautai. Players control Zero, a sixth Utautai who suddenly appears with the mission of defeating the other goddesses.
The game features compositions by Keichi Okabe, who was responsible for the acclaimed soundtrack of another Square Enix RPG, “Nier”.
